Before proceeding, I wanted to give a BIG, BIG, BIG thanks to Anastasia (whom, might I add, looks stunningly like Cate Blanchett, plus her skin is so flawless and radiant!) from Laura Mercier counter in Liberty’s at Regent Street London (Check out her website if you are interested in training to become a make up artist, or just to acquire new skills: www.themakeupschool.co.uk). She was very helpful and kind throughout all my process in Laura Mercier. Don’t forget to pop by the LM counter in Liberty and ask for Anastasia! 🙂
Another BIG thanks goes to Darshana from Hourglass counter in Liberty’s as well. Super helpful, introduced me very well to the brand (which I am infatuated with now), as well as she gave me great tips! If you’re interested in Hourglass, don’t forget to visit the counter in Liberty!
So…continuing on the haul… 🙂
Mac Pro Correct & Conceal Palette in Light:
From top to bottom: The box, The concealer, Swatch: From L to R: NC15, NW10, Pale yellow, Pale Pink, NC20, NW20
Comments: This is a wonderful kit to have with you. The textures are very creamy, very easy to blend. The only downside is that it might crease due to extreme creaminess. Other than that…its fantastic!
Mac studio fix fluid NW10:
From Top to Bottom: The box, the bottle, Heavy swatch, Light swatch
Comments: I wanted to love it. I so wanted to. It is a nice foundation, has good coverage (medium to full). Lasts very well. But its just not ‘perfect’ in my terms. And it does oxidize, unfortunately. And it can get cake-y if you try to build it to very heavy coverage. But other than that, its a good foundation 🙂
Mac Matte Lipstick in Smoked Purple:
Comments: I love it. Its a cold, deep, dark purple lipstick. Its what I wanted Tom Ford Black Orchid to look like. But this one is matte.
Revlon Color stay 24hr for oily skin in 110 Ivory:
Comments: Very similar to Mac studio Fix fluid in NW10, similar texture, scent, shade. But this one cakes much faster, and has obvious foundation appearance that the Mac one doesnt.
Batiste Dry shampoo for redheads:
The swatch is the one on the far left.
Comments: I still love my XXL volume dry shampoo from batiste, but this one is great because of the tint. Ot also conceals a bit the roots if you haven’t had time to re-dye your hair. As always, amazing product.
Barry M Foundation in white:
From Top to Bottom: The foundation, heavy swatch, blended swatch
Comments: Haven’t tried it on my face yet, so cant tell.
HEATHROW TERMINAL 3:
Tom Ford Blush in Flush:
From Top to Bottom: The box, the blush, Heavy swatch, blended swatch
Comments: When I swatched it, it was amazing. Buttery, pigmented, lovely glow. I wanted to love it. But on the face…its a whole different scenario. Its very easy to over-do it (even if you clean your brush in paper before applying) and it tends to be hard to blend.
Thank you for stopping by my blog, I hope you enjoyed my London Haul post.
