My plan on how to incorporate anti-aging ingredients into my skincare.
If you are a skincare junkie, chances are you do know several of these things.
I have been wanting to incorporate the major ingredients for anti-aging into my skincare, but I am still lacking some. Here is my plan;
- Vitamin C
- Retinol / Tretinoin
- Hyaluronic acid
- AHA / BHA
I currently only have La Roche Posay Active C that I use at night on top of my retinol.
I am thinking of investing in the Skinceuticals Phloretin CF
I have tested and loved it (have tried many in the past, most broke me out). It gave me an amazing glow and my skin felt much more calm when using it. As a side note; this product cannot be washed away once applied. It penetrates the skin and remains there for 72hrs, which means it provides a continuous release of antioxidants for 72hrs 🙂
Retinol / Tretinoin;
I have Skinceuticals Retinol 0.5%, La Roche Posay Redermic R, Peter Thomas Roth Retinol fusion PM and Airol 0,05% (tretinoin).
I think I am pretty much covered for the retinol department.
I am really enjoying now the Peter Thomas Roth one, I feel it works the best without irritation.
I haven’t been using the tretinoin for a while because it was irritating me a lot with the cold weather.
I currently only have the Smashbox primer with peptides, but besides that I do not have any skincare – to my knowledge – that contains such.
Therefore I am thinking of investing in these 2;
Currently I am using Neostrata Bionic serum, which is an antioxidant. As well as the bionic lotion.
I am not sure which other I might incorporate next, but I was thinking perhaps Exuviance Antioxidant Perfect 10 serum?
Mainly to alternate it with the previous collagen serum.
Also the Neostrata BioHydrating cream
I was kind of hoping to have that in my serum but I can’t find a complete ‘package’ therefore I would be content to have it in my moisturiser.
I do have plenty of those, but once I run out of them, I will stick with Skinceuticals and La Roche posay.
I currently have only exfoliating masks / cleansers / toners and pimple spot treatment.
I am planning on adding these to my skincare routine:
I have tried it and loved it. This one would be mainly for when my skin is acting a bit nuts and breaking out or when I know that it is a highly reactive skin period (usually throughout the last 1/3 of my monthly cycle).
For the rest of the time, I was thinking either of these;
Anyways, that’s it folks! Let me know in the comments down below how do YOU incorporate anti-aging ingredients into your skincare.
